Check list analysis sector
Use this checklist to help you in the definition of your company in your area and to identify possible market niches for your business.
* Are there new competitors on the market? What do think of them people as to the originality of their ideas?
* Is a competitor recently out of the market? Why?
* If he has not had new entries on the market, is this related to a fatal flaw of the concept or is it related to the fact that you are the first to have such an idea, or because you have managed to find solutions to problems which others could not find a solution?
* Are there a small number of competitors for a broad market or a large number of competitors for a limited market?
* If all competitors are large companies, can you find a small profitable niche, have the financial means for a clash with competition or risk being attacked by large companies already installed?
* If your market has not experienced a recent innovation, is because the margins are not quite enough to make the or because companies make no effort and become too confident, giving you an opportunity?
* Is there a framework for improving the quality of the product available on the market (for example, the postal service), which will allow a new/small company to have a competitive advantage?
* What is the history of your market? Are these new markets, which evolve and change quickly. Is it old markets, perhaps more difficult to penetrate. If it is a former market, you have a new idea, a real competitive advantage. A new market, you need to be very fast.
